Great Fun and a Great Result, Too

Three days, ten super teams and a tournament filled with everything players could ask for….that’s what happened at the Connect Hearing Men’s Classic held from June 23-25th in Courtenay.  The weather was perfect, the greens fast and the play  intense as men’s teams from throughout the zone battled for excellent prize money courtesy of Connect Hearing.    In the end, it was  Dean Penny and Brian Scherr  of Courtenay taking home top dollars and bragging rights.    Second place honours went to our own Rick Dolley and Ken Bucyk.  Third was the very tough team of Vern Hagstrom and Adrian Hewitt of Nanaimo and rounding out the top four was Courtenay’s Archie Harris and Henri Saucier.

Rick and Ken both claimed that it was a great experience and that getting out on the green and into these tournaments was a lot of fun.  They also encouraged bowlers from our club to come out to these events, either to play or watch and have a really great experience in the process.

Rick and Ken are all smiles after coming in Second Place in the Connect Hearing Courtenay Men’s Classic June 23-25th.
