Have Some Indoor Fun This Winter

Parksville Lawn Bowling Club

Our neighbours up the road at the Qualicum Beach Lawn Bowling Club are having an Open House on September 28 & 29th from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The club’s indoor green offers three rinks identical in play to the outdoor ones with regulation width and length. Playing in Qualicum during the winter is a great way to stay active, hone skills and meet new people as well. So, get out of the rain and into the fun and do a little indoor lawn bowling. The Qualicum Beach Lawn Bowling Club is located at 665 Jones St. in Q.B. Check out their website at www.qblbc.ca for more details.

Mahjong is open to club members and the public so please feel to invite friends and relatives to join us. We will be playing the Chinese version of Mahjong. It is important to realize that this game bears no similarity to the games played on the internet. The season for veteran players will begin on Monday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m. Please arrive a few minutes early.

If you have never played Mahjong before or you would like to refresh your skills, or if you have played the American version and would like to learn the Chinese version, we will be providing 2 weeks of instruction beginning on Monday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m..
