Parksville/Cowichan Challenge Needs You

Parksville Lawn Bowling Club

The Cowichan/Parksville Challenge on September 10th is fast approaching but our games committee needs a little help. We are in need of three more players to fill out our team and to have a complete roster. If you have never been to Cowichan, here’s a great chance to check out this green and meet fellow players from the South Mid-Island. The games will be at 10 A.M. and 1 P.M. and there is a limit of 24 players. You are asked to bring your own lunch to this event. If you are interested, please contact Kathleen Motley. Mahjong is open to club members and the public so please feel to invite friends and relatives to join us. We will be playing the Chinese version of Mahjong. It is important to realize that this game bears no similarity to the games played on the internet. The season for veteran players will begin on Monday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m. Please arrive a few minutes early.

If you have never played Mahjong before or you would like to refresh your skills, or if you have played the American version and would like to learn the Chinese version, we will be providing 2 weeks of instruction beginning on Monday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m..
