Parksville Club Comes Third in Nanaimo

Parksville Lawn Bowling Club
The Parksville team of Bill Burgess, Luise Norman and Don Urquhart placed third in the Nanaimo Triples Tournament held this past weekend. The event was sponsored by Ramsay Lampmans Rhodes Lawyers and drew players from around the island. The Dean Penny team from Courtenay took first place, Mike Ward’s Qualicum Beach team came second and Nanaimo’s own Vern Hagstrom came fourth.

Opening Day Draw – Click for Details
April is planning a big party to celebrate PLBC 30th Anniversary. Party will run from noon-5 pm. After 8 open end bowling at 1:00 there will be games, golden oldies music. There will be hot dogs, goodies and a cake from our local bakery, Nana and Papas. The bar will be available as well! There will also be 50/50 tickets @ 3/$5.00 & games tickets @ 3/$5.00! April is still looking for volunteers to run EASY games. Email April if you can help out. COME AND ENJOY THE CELEBRATIONS!
